Twitter bans My CEO permanently

Twitter permanently banned My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell’s account after continuing the baseless allegation that Donald Trump won the 2020 US presidential election.

Twitter has decided to ban Lindell, who founded the bedding company My Pillow, due to ‘repeated violations’ of its civil integrity policy, a spokesman said in a statement. The policy was implemented last September and is aimed at combating disinformation.

It was not immediately clear which posts by Lindell on Twitter caused the suspension of his account.

Lindell, a Trump supporter, continued to insist that the presidential election was cheated even after US President Joe Biden’s government began.

Major retailers such as Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s have said they will no longer carry My Pillow’s products, Lindell said earlier.

Lindell is also facing possible lawsuits from Dominion Voting Systems for claiming that their voting machines played a role in alleged election fraud. He also urged Trump to declare martial law in Minnesota to obtain the ballots and block the election.

Following the storms of the U.S. Capitol earlier this month, Twitter banned more than 70,000 accounts for sharing misinformation. Trump, who appealed to the mob,’s account was also permanently suspended.
