Twin-stick shooter Godstrike launches April 15 for Switch, PC

Godstrike

Two-Stick Shooter Godstrike will launch on April 15 for Switch and PC via Steam for $ 14.99, publisher Freedom Games and developer OverPowered Team announced. It supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Japanese.

Here is an overview of the game via Freedom Games:

Centuries after a divine power divided itself between seven mysterious masks, chaos reigns. These seven entities that are now vessels called Heralds spend eternity fighting each other while the world around them decays. That is, all but one. Talaal, the forgotten seventh mask, and his new Herald Yissia stand alone. Only together can they stop their brothers and sisters’ apocalyptic war.

Put on the mask of Talaal and fight with demonic monsters in multi-phase boss battles with incredible speed. Enter into flames that are flaming, braiding through the oncoming fire and unleashing an avalanche of heavenly abilities to overcome opponents as quickly as possible. Time is of the essence because in Godstrike as the seconds count down, so does the hero bar of our hero.

Time is life and a currency. Talaal and Yissia lose valuable seconds needed to complete their mission for every hit they take. The pair must therefore make calculated moves before each power play, and shuffle between an ever-growing stock of skills to help defend against the strengths of their enemies while taking advantage of the weaknesses.

Every second counts in the battle against the Heralds, but it will never be the end of time. Progress through campaign mode, unlock and set skills with each Herald defeated as Talaal’s story unfolds. Experiment with more than 20 skills such as Spark, a flashy movement that makes the seventh mask impervious to damage while inflicting its own damage. Mix and match forces, experiment with synergies and strategies, on the path to victory.

Use every ability in the arsenal in Arcade Mode or dare to tackle the heavenly beasts in Challenge Mode with random bosses and mysterious blessings given after each battle. Strive to become the champion in Daily Challenge runs, sly random crusades that move and change every 24 hours. For those who feel social, built-in Twitch features live stream viewers can influence the action and determine the effects of the fights according to popular voices.
