TV shows missing: when ‘Russian pop’ Orville ‘and others will return

In this COVID era, TV shows more than ever had a tendency to “go missing” after being renewed. Let’s see if TVLine can help you find your MIA favorite!

The list below covers two and only two types of shows, so note these guidelines:

♦ Renewed long ago, but these have been crickets ever since.

♦ Last aired more than seven months ago, and there is still no official word on cancellation or renewal.

Period

It is not A renewed / canceled scorecard (we have a lot of it). Far from it. No, this is an annual status report on selected shows that were out of sight but not out of mind for their extremely patient fans.

Our careful compilation below contains the latest word from more than two dozen “missing” shows, including Critical Sweethearts (like Netflix) Russian doll, FX’s Set and what is now Hulu’s The Orvillebinge-worthy jewelry (such as Raising Dion and Carnival), and basic cable faves (such as Queen of the South and The fat type).

A few broadcast TV shows even appear under this year’s MIA, including Fox’s Klop Shazam (one of the few precious reality shows we’re bothered to check out) and CBS’s Blood and treasure.

FYI: Series were the programs we learned canceled / will not return (and previously reported as such) includes High maintenance, The Twilight Zone, wat / as and At Home With Amy Sedaris.
