Turtle beach, a maker of popular game chapters, acquired Neat microphones, a company that waves made with his unique microphones for broadcasters and podcasters.

Originally launched by Gibson Musical Instruments, the Neat Widget microphone range looked like something Jessica Rabbit sou sing in Toontown. The company, founded by co-founder of Blue Microphones Skipper Wise, recently released the Bee Line, a collection of desktop and portable microphones in bold yellow and black. The engineer behind Blue Microphones, Martins Sulespurens, is also moving to Turtle Beach.

“We are entering the growing global power and microphone market with two significant advantages: the visionary leadership and engineering expertise behind some of the best-known microphones of the past 30 years and Neat’s impressive product range in 2021,” said Turtle’s Juergen Stark. Beach CEO. “We are delighted to welcome Skipper Wise, Martins Saulespurens and the rest of the Neat Microphones team to the Turtle Beach family.”

The microphones are priced in the $ 140 range and is aimed at digital broadcasters who is looking for a unique, visually-sustaining microphone with USB capabilities. With podcasting seemingly more popular than ever, there is a huge demand for an easy and good sounding microphone. That it also looks interesting almost feels like a bonus.

The companies did not disclose the terms of the acquisition.
