Trump’s Mar-a-Lago partially shut down after COVID breaks out

Former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort has been partially closed due to a coronavirus outbreak.

Both the beach club and the a la carte dining room were closed Friday after a number of employees were affected by the deadly virus. The Palm Beach Club’s banquet hall and other events are open for now.

“Out of caution, we have quarantined some of the workers and partially closed part of the club for a short time,” a person familiar with the club’s operation told The Post.

Trump has lived in Mar-a-Lago since leaving the White House in January. His wife Melania Trump and son Barron are there with him. All three have already recovered from coronavirus infections last year.

Members were emailed by the local Palm Beach Post about the outbreak.

“We have already taken all appropriate response measures in accordance with CDC guidance, including the care and cleaning of all affected areas and all club facilities, and we will continue our enhanced cleaning process,” the message reads.
