Former President Donald Trump overthrew Biden’s government on Sunday for turning the southern border migrant crisis into a full-fledged ‘national disaster’.
In the statement released Sunday night, Trump also urged President Biden to complete the construction of a border wall and accused the government of ‘causing death and human tragedy’.
‘In the scope of just [a] “In a few weeks, the Biden administration has turned a national triumph into a national disaster,” Trump said in a statement.
“They are quick over the head and take water quickly.”
Thousands of migrants have traveled to the U.S.-Mexico border since Trump left office, forcing the Biden administration to start housing unaccompanied children who have moved to the U.S. in migrant facilities.
Biden, who has been criticized by Republicans for overturning a number of Trump’s border policies, said Sunday he plans to visit the southern border “at some point.”
In a conversation with reporters after returning from Camp David to the White House, Biden said his government is working to ensure that migrants seeking asylum in the US do so in their home countries.
Earlier Sunday, Home Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the United States would not return without escorted children.
In his statement, Trump also blew Mayorkas.
“The pathetic, reckless actions of Secretary Mayorkas on the Sunday Shows today were a national disgrace,” the former president said.
“His complacent presentation – amid the huge crisis he has helped in engineering – is further proof that he is incapable of leading DHS.”
Trump added that a wall along the border – which he made as a feature of his first presidential campaign – is still needed to secure the international crossing.
“They need to complete the wall immediately, which can be done within a few weeks – they should never have stopped it,” Trump said.
