Trump lawyers urge accusations against ‘political theater’ on the eve of the trial

Advocates for former President Trump on Monday submitted a brief submission that the Democrats’ attempt to convict the president in an indictment after he left office is’ political theater ‘, and that the trial is outside the constitutional authority of the Senate is.

The order comes the day before the trial begins in earnest, with arguments over its constitutionality likely, and Senate President Pro Tempore, Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., Will preside.

House management executives, led by Representative Jamie Raskin, D-Md., Are also expected to submit a brief report Monday morning.

The documents of both Trump’s team and the Democrats who are campaigning for the former president’s will provide a preview of the arguments they want to make during the trial.

The Senate has yet to officially agree on a framework for the trial. But a potential one is currently being circulated which is a four-hour debate on whether the trial is constitutional, followed by a vote on ‘constitutionality’.

There may also be debates and a call for a call by prosecution managers for witnesses. And the trial can range from the traditional six days a week with the Sunday off model to six days a week with the Saturday off. Trump lawyer David Schoen is observing the Jewish Sabbath and has demanded that the trial be adjourned at 5pm on Friday and resumed on Sunday.
