House Democrats’ attempts to convict former President Donald Trump in the Senate sentencing hearing this week are not what the federal government should focus on, Donald Trump Jr. said. Told ‘Hannity’ on Tuesday.
“Are we not in the midst of a pandemic?” asked the president’s eldest son host Sean Hannity. “I thought these senators might have something better to do. Maybe they would actually fight for the American people, for a change. Maybe they would actually help us through this pandemic.”
Trump Jr. noted that the new government has so far failed to provide coronavirus assistance to the public while killing jobs by opening up Biden’s executive action on climate and national borders without any safety guidelines regarding virus spread.
“The double standards are insane and perhaps the Senate of the United States should focus on that rather than on their nonsense,” he said.

Trump Jr. later compares his father’s much-criticized rhetoric and the Capitol riot with statements from the past by Democratic officials and the riots that raged in several U.S. cities last year.
“You highlighted all the hypocrisy we saw during ten months of rioting, looting, arson, some kind of politics in your face,” he told Hannity. “What my father said on January 6 was gentle in comparison, but if you were to take his speech and compare it to literally any stupid speech ever made in the history of politics, you would see absolutely no deviation. . “

In the future, Trump Jr. added, Republicans should play hardball if they [Democrats] play hardball.
“We turned the other cheek as they slapped us in the face and laughed as they won every major battle along the way.”
