The Special Forces in Terrestrial Frontier Security (Cesfront) detected more than 750 documented Haitians intending to enter irregular ways into Dominican territory in the last hours, along the northern frontier line.
The detention operations are the result of the frontier reform ordered by the Minister of Defense, serving as General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa, according to information from Brigadier General José Manuel Durán Infante, Director of Cesfront.
In the vigilance operations, drones were used with thermal chambers, buggies, motorcycles and other technological equipment, which resulted in the detention of 754 Haitian nationalists, among them men, women and other women outside.
Brigadier General Durán Infante, who personally directs the operations, assures that in March and February there will be more than 3,000 detainees and just to continue working hard to maintain security on the front with Haiti.
The detainees were sent to the General Directorate of Migration and the National Council of Niñez (Conani) for the fine correspondents.
Debating the political and social crisis that has been raging in Haiti, causing protests and demonstrations of violence, hundreds of Haitians have tended to invade Dominican territory, citing instability in the nation.
In this context, President Luis Abinader disposed of the frontier zone reform with the more trophic issue to raise the level of vigilance and avoid tensions that could affect the country.
The Cesfront and the Ejército of the Dominican Republic intensified their detentions and devolved into their undocumented Haitian lands, in coordination with the General Directorate of Migration.
Position of the governor
On October 30, 2020, President Abinader stated that Haiti’s situation was one of the main problems facing the Dominican government.
During an interview in English with foreign periodicals, the mandate explained on this occasion that the lack of stability in the country and its poverty, its state of crisis and the people in the calls is a difficult situation to control. Dijo that lamentably the Haitian governor does not have the strength to control the situation.
It seems that protecting the front is very costly for the Dominican Republic, with about 7,000 soldiers and 800 members of the Cesfront, it is very costly. Aggregate that there are more technological forms to protect the frontier.
The President demonstrates that he can convert vocally to other countries of America, France (which has historical ties with Haiti), Canada and other nations in order to jointly implement a development plan to guide the nation to prosperity and democracy.
