Trisha Yearwood Explains Why Her Marriage To Garth Brooks Is Difficult

After celebrating her 15th birthday with Garth Brooks in December, Trisha Yearwood begins how ‘difficult’ their union can be.

Yearwood, 56, and Brooks, 59, untied the knot in December, months after Brooks performed on stage during a live performance in Bakersfield, California.

The country star began in an interview with US Weekly and revealed that their relationship has ‘gotten better with time’, although it was still ‘difficult’.

‘We are both very independent people who run our own ships. And sometimes, when two people ride two large ships, it can be difficult, ‘Yearwood said as she promoted her new pet collection range.

She added that being quarantined under her husband all the time during the COVID-19 pandemic was not much of the problem, except that they could go nowhere.

“Before the last year, we were together all the time. I mean, we’re really a couple who’s married to be together, and that’s why we do not spend that much time apart anyway. So it was not a big change, but it was enough that there really was no way out, ‘she added.

The singer added that they both had to navigate how they could both stay ‘alpha’ and ‘manage their own lives’ while they were still a couple.

“It’s a balance where sometimes one person steers the ship and sometimes the other person, and sometimes you’re going to bump your heads,” she added.

Brooks also said in an interview with Ellen in March that they had spent their time in quarantine tackling the issues that had really bothered them for the past 15 years.

‘I think 99.9 percent of people would not have done what I do, but I thought, since we are here and we have nowhere to go, let’s just fall for the hardest things during the fifteen years to us, ‘he said.

After a year in quarantine, Yearwood noted that their relationship is ‘now better than ever before’, adding that she has done what she does not normally do in relationships.

“The delicacies contain all the ingredients of man, things that are not strange, and that you would know what it was,” she said.

“But for things like the beds and the backpacks and the beds, I needed it to be nice, but I wanted to be able to go in the washing machine because my dogs are indoor-outdoor dogs,” she added.

“They come on the farm, they get dirty, they roll in things,” Woodwood continues.
