Tribeca Festival of 2021 opens with ‘In the Heights’ world premiere

The 2021 edition of the New York event begins with Jon M. Chu’s Warner Bros. filming of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.

The Tribeca Festival will open its 2021 edition by lighting the lights on Washington Heights.

The personal New York gathering begins June 9 with the world premiere of Warner Bros. ‘ In the heights at the United Palace Theater in Washington Heights, the area where the story is based.

In addition, Tribeca, which is the first personal North American film festival since the COVID-19 pandemic, will present simultaneous screenings of the opening night film in all five districts in outdoor venues.
