Transcript: President Trump’s Call with Electoral Officers in Georgia

MARK MEADOWS, Chief of Staff of the White House: So, Mr President, if I, if I may be able to step in, and I will give Brad a chance. Mr. Secretary, one, of course, there is, there are allegations where we believe that not every vote or fair vote and legitimate vote was counted. And this is contrary to the representation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. What I’m hoping for is that there’s a way we can, we can find some kind of agreement to look at this a little more fully. As you know, the president mentioned Fulton County, but in some of these areas there seems to be a difference between the facts. And so, Mr. Secretary, I was hopeful that you, in a spirit of cooperation and compromise, are there, there is something we can at least discuss to look at some of these allegations to find a way forward that less is litigious.

RAFFENSPERGER: Well, I listened to what the president had just said. President Trump, we have had several lawsuits, and we had to respond in court to the lawsuits and the arguments of – we do not agree that you have one. We do not, I did not agree on the number of 200 000 you mentioned. And I go through that point by point. What we have done is that we have given our State Assembly about an hour and a half, of our time to go through the election issue by issue. And when we at the State House, the Government Affairs Committee, gave them about two and a half hours of our time, point-by-point back over all the points of contention. And just a few days ago, we met our U.S. congressmen, Republican congressmen, and gave them about two hours of our time to talk about the last election. If I’re mainly going back to what you, what you’ve been talking about here, mainly focused on, I believe it’s the absent voting process, I do not believe you’re really questioning the Dominion machines because we did a hand count, a 1 percent repetition of all the ballots and compare it to what the machine said. And it achieved virtually the same result. Then we do the narration. We have virtually the same result. Me, I think we can probably get it off the table. I do not think there is a problem about it. I think what you were –

TRUMP: Well, Brad, Brad, not that there’s not a problem, but because we have a big problem with Dominion and other states and maybe in you. But we did, we still did not feel we had to go there, and just to, you know, maybe make a little different turn to what Mark was saying. Mark Meadows. Yes, I would like to go further, but we do not really have to. We have all the voices we need. You know, we won the state. If you took it, it’s the least number, the numbers I’ve given you. These are numbers that are certified; your absentee ballots are sent to vacant addresses, you, your state voters, 4 925.

You know, if you add it up, it’s many times, it’s many times the 11,779 number. So we were able to go through. We have not been through your rule, so we cannot bless them. I mean, in other states we think we’ve found huge corruption with Dominion machines, but we’ll have to see. But, but we, we lost the state by only 11 thousand – with 11000 votes and 779. With that said, with exactly what we have. And you know, with just what we have, we give you minimum, minimum numbers, we do the most conservative numbers possible. We are many, many, many times above the margin. And so we do not really have to, Mark – I do not think we need to go through the machines, because what is the difference between winning the election by two, two votes and winning it by half a million votes? I think I probably won it by half a mill – I mean, you know, one of the things that happened, Brad, is that there are now other people coming in from Alabama and from South Carolina and from other states, and they was saying, “It’s impossible for you to lose Georgia.” We won. You know, in Alabama, we set a record and got the highest votes ever. In Georgia, we set a record with a large number of votes. And they say, ‘It’s not possible to lose Georgia.’

And I could tell you through our rallies, I could tell you through the rally I’m holding Monday night, the place, they already have queues of people standing in front and waiting. It’s just not possible to lose Georgia. That’s not possible. When I heard it was near, I said there was no way. But they voted very late, you know, Brad. And this is what we are working very, very strictly on. But regardless of the votes, with all that said, we lost by 11 – essentially 11,000 votes. And we have many more votes that have already been calculated and certified. So I just do not know. You know, Mark, I do not know what the purpose is. I will not pass Dominion because we have found too many bad things. But we do not need Dominion or anything else. We have, we have, we have won this election in Georgia based on it all. And there’s nothing wrong with that, Brad. You know, I mean, with the, with a correct. The people of Georgia are angry, and these numbers will be repeated Monday night, along with others we will have by that time, which is even much greater, and the people of Georgia are angry, the people of the country are angry. And there’s nothing wrong with saying that, you know, um, that you recalculated because the votes of 2,236 and absent, that is, were all exact numbers done by accountants, law firms, and so on. And even if you cut them in half, then cut in half and cut in half again, those are more votes than we need.

RAFFENSPERGER: Well, Mr. President, the challenge you have is the data you have is wrong. We, we talked to the congressmen, and they were surprised. But they – I think there’s a person named Mr. Brainard who came to these meetings and presented data, and he said there were dead people, I believe it was more than 5,000. The actual number was two. Two. Two people who were dead voted. And that’s wrong, it was two.

TRUMP: Well, Cleta, how do you react to that? I mean, you tell me.

CLETA MITCHELL, Trump Attorney: I’m going to say sir the secretary, one of the things we asked for, and what we did – what we said was, and if you look, if you read our petition, it said we had the names and years of birth took and know, we had certain information at our disposal. We asked your office for records that only you have. And so we said there are a universe of people who have the same name and the same year of birth and died. But we do not have the records you have, and one of the things we have been formally and informally proposing for weeks now is to try, is that you will make available the records needed to confirm –
