Carmelo Anthony is definitely not the one to sit down with.
The Portland Trail Blazers forward announced (again) Wednesday night in New Orleans against the Pelicans.
During the third quarter of the Blazers’ 126-124 victory, a fan in the crowd had a message for the veteran: hang it up. The Pelicans at Smoothie King Arena is one of the few teams in the NBA that fans can attend.
The heckler shouted, “Carmelo, you must retire!”
Anthony turns around and gives the fan a cold ‘Shit yo’ ass. The Pelicans’ broadcast captured the moment during the game:
Anthony is the most experienced player in the Blazers series. He played a big role in starting Portland 18-10 this season. The Blazers have won eight of their last nine games, and during February Anthony averaged 15.8 points while shooting 43% off the field and 43% from three.
I do not think he will go anywhere soon.
