Trading with Brown-nets Sabers Underperforming Yield

According to Taylor, Taylor Hall is finally on the move and on its way to the Boston Bruins Darren Dreger and Pierre LeBrun.

The Bruins and Sabers completed a deal late Sunday night that sent the wing with Curtis Lazar to Boston in exchange for Anders Bjork and a second round in 2021. Buffalo also retains 50% of Hall’s remaining salary.

Hall, who has been scraped healthy by Buffalo since Tuesday, has two goals and 19 points in 37 games this season. His shooting percentage is currently a worst career of 2.3%.

This is the second time in two seasons that Hall, the NHL’s MVP 2017-18, has been traded. The Devils sent him to the Coyotes during the 2019-20 season, and the 29-year-old will sign a one-year $ 8 million deal with Buffalo in October.

How difficult was the market if it was the package that Hall ended up with? And why not wait until closer to the deadline on Monday 15:00 to see what late offers from desperate teams can come?

In defense of the Sabers GM Kevyn Adams, Hall, who could be an unlimited free agent this summer, had to give up his no-move clause, which the player may give in his final destination. But now Adams has a monumental task ahead of him to turn the franchise around, and there is much more work ahead. This step is not going to speed up the process.

Brown goes for it

Hours after losing 8-1 to the Capitals, and shortly before acquiring Hall, Bruins GM Don Sweeney picked up defender Mike Reilly at the Senators. Sweeney added a forward in Hall and a much-needed defender, with time remaining and about $ 3.3 million in space to further strengthen his roster.

The Bruins have been a contradictory bunch since the beginning of February. They are currently fourth in the Eastern Division with a few games in hand on the Rangers, who are four points behind them, and the Penguins, who are eight points ahead of them.

Hall does not have to wait long to see his old teammates. The Sabers and Bruins play Tuesday night, and six of Buffalo’s last 15 games in the regular season are against Boston.
