Trade rumors: Finney-Smith, Gordon, Fournier, Holmes, Herro

Teams signed up Mavericks forward Dorian Finney-Smith, though it’s not clear if he’s available, Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News tweets. His recent rise in play, plus his very affordable contract ($ 4 million this season and next year), has heightened interest in him. Finney-Smith is likely to be included in any deal Aaron Gordon, Norman Powell or John Collins, as well as Jalen Brunson and draft picks. However, Dallas will not be able to offer a first-time deal until 2025, making it difficult to take a big step, Towsend adds (Twitter link).

We have more on the trade front:

  • The Celtics are considered the forerunners to acquire Gordon, several sources told Matt Moore of The Action Network. The Magic Their offerings are expected to continue until Thursday’s deadline. The Nuggets, Trail blazers and Mavericks is also underway, but Boston offered two first rounds and the other candidates for Gordon did not. It is assumed that there will be some protections on the choice. Evan Fournier can also go to Boston in a separate agreement. The Celtics will send a player – the Magic prefer Marcus Smart – the two picks and their exception on $ 28.5 million traded players in those transactions.
  • Richaun Holmes became the trading target of several teams, ESPN’s Jordan Schultz tweets. It will take a considerable supply to get him from the Kings, Add Schultz. H0lmes expressed his satisfaction with his current team. He had 17 points and 16 rebounds against Cleveland on Monday.
  • While the Heat can take a big step, they are not willing to divorce Tyler Herro, according to another Schultz tweet. Miami considers Herro an essential part of the future and is a favorite of GM Pat Riley.
