Raven Software, now the lead developer of Call of Duty’s Battle Royale Warzone, has confirmed that they are investigating the hit issues following the February 5 patch.
Despite Warzone’s unmistakable popularity, many fans have become frustrated at various points as intrusive bugs come and go.
Some of the most heinous offenders are the infamous ‘demon gun’ mistake and infinite voice. The latter was actually targeted in the February 5 patch after its release, but after bouncing back after downloading the patch, many users realized that it had broken something pretty vital to the game.
Hitmarkers, used by the game to indicate damage to an opponent, did not register for some users. This was not a problem before the February 5 update was implemented.

Given the prevalence of the problem, Raven quickly confirmed that they had been investigating the issues late on February 5th. They said: ‘FYI we are investigating allegations that hits are not inconsistent with last night’s update.’
Attached was a link to Warzone’s Trello page confirming that it was being investigated. The map is titled “Hit markers: Enemies show inconsistently hit markers and kill markers when shot”. At the time of writing this – 05:30 EST on February 6 – it is still marked as unresolved.

Many users are extremely frustrated by the problems, which apparently emerged from a patch unrelated to a hit or hit record.
What’s more, the problems seem pretty random. Some players have reported the problem as participating in games, which means it is also difficult to identify.
However, with the issues now on Raven’s radar, we can expect a quick patch if the issue is isolated and recreated in a developer environment. Then expect a small update right away to fix the issues and restore Warzone’s hits to their normal state.
