Tottenham Player Ratings: Dele Alli returns, Sanchez and Hojbjerg fight, a Kane night

Hugo Lloris

Followed a flying save early in the second half, followed by a safe pair of hands to get a header out of the corner. Saved again from close range just before Fulham’s unallocated goal. Many crosses and solid pieces were demanded in the box. 7

Matt Doherty

Some sloppy moments in the first half did not use the ball well enough. Didn’t contribute much in an offensive sense, but grew to his defensive role as the game went on. 6

Toby Alderweireld

At the back, he did not do much wrong, as he looked more comfortable than usual on the left side of the center. 8

Davinson Sanchez

Made some important early blocks in the Spurs box. Excellent piece of defense to stop Loftus-Cheek from pulling the trigger in the six-meter box. Moments later, he was happy that his clearance hit off-balance Lemina on the arm, and although Maja passed, it was ruled out by VAR for handball. Late struggling through a cramp, but the awkward clearance aside, it was still a very positive performance from the Colombian. 8

Ben Davies

As with Doherty, he did not contribute much from an attacking sense, but he fought away against his flank. 6

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

A proper performance from the midfield general He takes many hits and puts his body at stake. Much work has been done on the outside of the Spurs box to prevent Fulham from breaking through. 8

Tanguy Ndombele

Busy in midfield and played one of his trademark-issuing passes to Kane, leading to a VAR check for a penalty not given. Continue to drive Spurs with dribble through the middle of the field. After Alli retired, he moved the number 10 roll over before having to replace himself with 15 minutes left. 7

Gareth bale

Curled an early free-kick well over the crossbar, but then started the move for the first half from Spurs. Could not find the spark of recent performances. 5

Dele Alli

A good start from his return to a Premier League starting line-up for the first time since the opening game against Everton, when he slammed on Son’s low cross and Adarabioyo helped it into the goal. Five minutes before the break, he won the ball back and picked Son out at the back post, but the South Korean star headed wide. Fading in the second half and leading by just over 20 minutes. 6

Seun Heung-min

With a beautiful outside of the foot cross, he set up Kane in the 17th minute for a great chance that should have been. Dele made no mistake, but moments later from his low cross to knock down Adarabioyo. Dele returned the favor before the break, but Son headed to the left and left. Did a lot of defensive work in the second half. 7

Harry Kane

A glorious early ball from Son directly onto the goalkeeper. Did he have a VAR check of a possible penalty that was not his intention. With seven minutes left, his effort from Lamela’s ball was well saved by Areola. A departing night from the goal scorer who sees two great opportunities wasted. 5

Subs

Moussa Sissoko

Worked together alongside Hojbjerg and after his launch worked hard to stem the tide of Fulham. 6

Lucas Moura

In the final seven minutes, Kane transferred an effort from the saved shot. 5
