Everything new in iOS 14.5 Beta 2

Apple this week released the second beta of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 for developers and public beta testers. The second betas adds new features, including new emojis, an option for Apple Music subscribers to share lyrics on platforms like iMessage and Instagram, a new action to take a screenshot in the Shortcuts app, and more. iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 include many other features, such as the ability to unlock an iPhone with an Apple Watch while wearing a mask, support for 5G in Dual-SIM mode on iPhone 12 models, new Waze-like features in Apple Maps, and AirPlay 2 streaming for Apple Fitness + exercises, which became functional in the second beta.

iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 should be introduced to all users by the end of March or early April, but anyone can register for free to be a public beta tester to get early access to all these new features.

watchOS 7.3.1 Released with solution for Apple Watch Series 5 and Apple Watch SE charging issue

In a new support document this week, Apple said that a “very small number of customers” with Apple Watch Series 5 or Apple Watch SE models with watchOS 7.2 or 7.3 experienced a problem that their watch did not charge after entering Power Reserve do not have.

Apple says customers with an Apple Watch displaying this issue can contact Apple Support to set up an email recovery for free. Apple has also released watchOS 7.3.1, which prevents the Apple Watch Series 5 or Apple Watch SE devices from being affected yet.

Weinbach has a hit-and-miss record with Apple rumors. He was one of the various sources who wrongly claimed that the iPhone 12 models would have a 120Hz screen, and his rumor about 4K video recording at up to 240 fps also could not be realized last year, but he accurately revealed that iPhone 12 models would be available. in a new dark blue color.

Apple says some iPhone 12 hardware issues will no longer require replacement of the entire device

In an internal memorandum this week, obtained by MacRumors, Apple service providers announced that they will introduce a new repair method for the same units for the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 models that shows certain problems that usually require a replacement of the entire unit need.

Genius Bars and Apple Authorized Service Providers have a new “iPhone Rear System” part available that consists of the back cover of an iPhone with all components except the screen and the rear camera, including the battery, logic, Taptic Engine, Face ID system, and so on.

Mark Zuckerberg allegedly told Facebook staff that they should inflict ‘pain’ on Apple over privacy dispute

Starting with iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5 and tvOS 14.5, Apple will introduce a new privacy measure that requires apps users to request and receive permission to track their activities on other apps and websites for targeted advertising purposes.
