Microsoft Outlook: Organize Your Email and Calendar
Whether you want to read private email or sync your corporate account with your phone, Outlook is a great option. It provides a similar desktop interface to the desktop and is well integrated with other Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, making it easy to perform work on the go. Like most customers, it offers a priority mailbox called Focused, as well as a dark mode. Unlike most of its competitors, however, it comes with calendar integration, which is a great way to easily manage meeting RSVPs or send out new invitations.

Email – Lightning fast and secure mail
Edison Mail aims to make email management simple and intuitive. The app comes with an Inbox-like assistant, you can use templates and have a dark mode. It is also highly customizable and works with an unlimited number of accounts, so you can manage all your communications in one app. Some neat features include price alerts in case the price of a product you bought drops unsent messages, clever response suggestions and a built-in search engine.
Spike Email Messenger – your mailbox, rediscover
Spike is built with an interface similar to instant messaging applications. The idea is not to switch from one app to another, with everything combined into one, including to-do lists and notes. It also lets you collaborate on documents from your inbox, with the ability to chat with colleagues at the same time. Some other neat features include unsent messages, dark mode and scheduled email.
Spike may not be the perfect email client for everyone, but it’s great to consider if you’re part of a team working on the same projects and topics. However, it will usually make sense to use it if you connect it to the desktop app, which offers the same features and syncs your conversations.
Boxer – Workspace ONE
Boxer’s main focus is to help you take action on messages directly from your Inbox using swing gestures, without having to open the message yourself. For example, you can quickly add an item to your to-do list, or mark a message as spam, without wasting time performing too many clicks. Thanks to the calendar integration, you can also easily share it with others and participate in conference calls. I would mostly recommend using Boxer if you handle a lot of work emails. For personal communication, I would recommend that you look at alternatives like Spark or Edison Mail.
ProtonMail – Encrypted Email
Privacy is becoming a growing source of concern, so you may want to consider encrypting your email communications. ProtonMail aims to do just that, making it virtually impossible for anyone to read messages except the sender and recipient. However, depending on what you need, ProtonMail can be cumbersome, as you will need to change email providers and be limited to this particular app. I personally would not want to go through the trouble as I do not exchange core codes by email but the choice is for you to make based on the amount of coding you need versus comfortable use and versatility.
