Toney leaves Pitt; Enter NCAA Transfer Portal

PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh, Head Coach Jeff Capel announced the departure of junior Au’Diese Toney Thursday. Toney will enter the NCAA transfer portal.
‘We have come to the mutual agreement that Au’Diese [Toney] “We will put the Pitt basketball program for men into effect immediately,” Capel said.
Toney, who missed the Panthers’ last game with an injury, averaged 14.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He has scored double figures 12 times in three games with 20 or more points. He ended his Pitt career with 763 points, 423 rebounds and 80 steals.
Pitt returns to NC State on Sunday, February 28 (4pm – ACC Network). The Panthers are 9-9 on the season with a 5-8 point in conference play with three ACC games left.
