Tom Hiddleston ‘accuses’ Paul Bettany of stealing Loki’s Gimmick

Tom Hiddleston made a guest appearance at the WandaVision Virtual Launch Event to confront Vision actor Paul Bettany for stealing his trademark trick.

Actor Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has called on Vision actor Paul Bettany to use one of his trademark tricks in the new Disney + series, WandaVision.

While answering fan questions during the WandaVision Hiddleston, a virtual launch event, made a surprising guest appearance to raise a question about Vision’s sudden return to the MCU after his death in 2018 Avengers: Infinity War. “When we last saw Vision in Infinity War, he was no longer alive, but now he is alive,” Hiddleston said, “I was just wondering, don ‘t you think it’s a Loki thing, my kind? thing?’

Bettany laughs at the question and plays along with the joke by responding back: “It’s true, I’m stealing your thunder completely, Tom, I’m so sorry about that.”

It is originally thought that Loki reached his peak in 2011. Thor after falling into a deep abyss in outer space. It was revealed that the God of evil survived and later returned as the main villain in 2012 The Avengers before ‘dying’ again with his brother in 2013 Thor: The Dark World. However, it was just a scam, and Loki returned in 2017 Thor: Ragnarok, only to die by the hand of Thanos in the opening moments of 2018s Avengers: Infinity War.

Following the time travel events of 2019s Avengers: Endgame, a previous version of Loki is shown to start a new adventure in an alternate timeline, with the extensive legacy of the character in the upcoming Disney + series, Loki.

It’s not yet known how Vision returned from the dead in Marvel Studios’ new reality bending series, WandaVision, but Bettany recently promised that, “All of this is going to be explained.”

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision plays Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air on Friday + Disney.
