Tom Hanks got a ‘horrible haircut’ for the role in the Elvis Presley movie

Tom Hanks has a new look, but do not expect too much. He warns you that it has an ‘awful haircut’.

On the latest issue of Britain The Graham Norton Show, Hanks explained in a virtual interview that he shaved his head around the role of col. Tom Parker, the director of Elvis Presley, to star in director Baz Luhrmann’s long-awaited film. Hanks does not like the look, that he wore a baseball cap during most of the conversation – one with the logo for his production company, Playtone Productions – and only briefly removed it. “Let me show you the terrible haircut I need to have,” Hanks said before doing so.

“I was just scaring the kids,” Hanks joked. “I want to apologize for showing up.”

The News from the world star appeared in Australia, where filming resumed in September. Production was halted in March after Hanks was one of the first celebrities to announce a COVID-19 diagnosis. Hanks and his wife, actress Rita Wilson, both said they felt OK after being hospitalized with the coronavirus shortly thereafter.

Hanks previously flashed his shaved head on the outside Late show with Stephen Colbert. During an interview earlier this month, he explained that he had to go under the razor and put on a series of wigs to portray Presley’s longtime manager, whom Hanks described as “both a genius and a crook.” The actor joked that the actors were playing the gorillas Aapplaneet less time spent in the makeup chair than he did.

The Presley movie is now set to be released in November 2021. Hanks will play with him Once upon a time … in Hollywood‘s Austin Butler, who plays the ‘King of Rock’ n ‘Roll.
