Tom Cruise surprises NHS staff with secret visit to thank them for their pandemic

Tom Cruise reportedly surprised NHS staff by thanking them for their work through the coronavirus pandemic.

The 58-year-old film star allegedly visited the ExCel Center in East London in secret last Thursday to ‘bring personal honor to the front-line staff’.

This comes after Mission Impossible 7 was finally wrapped up in a series of delays, and amid allegations that the star was harassing the crew for violating the rules of social distance on the set.

A source told The Sun: ‘He told his team he wanted to pay his personal tribute to frontline health professionals who helped get films back on track.

“They were really shocked to see such a great movie star. Tom wanted to keep it a secret and make sure it was a pleasant surprise for them.

“The world heard his crew rushing on the set, and it proved how seriously he took the pandemic.”

MailOnline contacted representatives of Tom Cruise and the ExCel Center for further comment.

The ExCel Center is now a major vaccination center with another part of the site being used for the NHS Nightingale Hospital’s new Rehabilitation Center for Patients.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said in January: ‘I would like to thank our brilliant NHS staff who have changed the Excel center to be used as a new large-scale vaccination room, as well as the preparation of the NHS. Nightingale Hospital to open as a new patient rehabilitation facility in another part of the center.

“It is crucial to make much-needed beds available in London’s hospitals, and it will also speed up the introduction of the vaccine.”

Cruise’s visit comes after the filming of Mission: Impossible 7 follows a global marathon schedule interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Films on Mission: Impossible 7 would launch in Italy in February 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed it until July 2020.

Filming begins in the UK, moves to Norway and then back to Italy where it comes to a standstill again after 12 crew members tested positive for the coronavirus.

The film also said that five crew members’ stopped ‘after Cruise started a second rant’ following his anger over violating COVID rules.

Cruise is said to have snubbed the staff after he caught them violating British COVID-19 rules in Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden.

A source claims that after the news of the first eruption was announced, there was ‘more anger’ over the already ‘tense’ production.

It was also previously reported that the star scolded workers who pushed the rules at a social distance while in Warner Bros. Studios filmed it.

Following the no-nonsense attitude of his character, Ethan Hunt, the actor apparently said, “When I see you do it again, you’re gone.”

According to the newspaper, the attire was recorded on an audio tape in which he heard add: ‘And if anyone in this crew does it, it’s it – and you too and you too.

‘And you, do you never do it again? We do not conclude this faltering film. ‘

The American actor was apparently angry after he saw the couple standing on a computer screen less than a meter apart.

MailOnline contacted Tom Cruise representatives at the time.

Last month, director Christopher McQuarrie posted on Instagram that the production of Mission Impossible had finally ended in Abu Dhabi and that he was ‘back to London for some finishing work’.

However, the delays due to the pandemic mean that Star Cruise’s plan to film an eighth film live had to be suspended, Deadline.com reports.

M: I-7 will be issued on November 19th. But before that, Cruise has another big movie opening – she’s sequel to Top Gun.

Top Gun: Maverick opens in theaters on July 2 and Cruise will be available to promote the film worldwide.

That means he can’t start making the eighth film in the Mission: Impossible franchise the way he wanted to.

The eighth film was listed by Paramount for release on November 4, 2022, but it seems likely that the date should be pushed back now.

Near completion: McQuarrie posted a beautiful recording saying that the filming was completed after a period in Abu Dhabi and that he was on his way to London to give some finishing touches to the project.
