Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski discuss retirement in T-Mobile Super Bowl ad

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski joined forces for a T-Mobile Super Bowl ad Friday before their game against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend.

The ad, which takes place in 2020, shows how Brady and Gronkowski discuss retirement and the stern end trying to convince the legendary quarterback that he likes to step down from football.

“I have one word for you: retirement,” says Brady’s trusted teammate. “If you retire now, you’re walking on soft sand in a week. Retirement is like winning another! Maybe I’ll even join you.”

But thanks for a weak commitment, Brady just heard he retired, ‘you are soft and weak.’ Brady is then spotted at a press conference saying he is taking Gronkowski with him to Tampa.

“I’m retiring to retire?” Gronkowski asked himself as he looked at Brady.

This is probably not exactly how Brady joined the Buccaneers and Gronkowski from his own interruption to join him. But the fantasy call makes for a great place.

This is the second consecutive year that Brady has appeared in a Super Bowl ad.

Amid questions about whether he will retire after the 2020 season, Brady appears in a Hulu ad to silence the crowd.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he said in the ad, which was built with cryptic tweets.

He would later make the shocking decision to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and later lead them to Super Bowl LV.
