Tom Brady celebrates the 21st anniversary of the day he was drafted.

The five-time Super Bowl MVP tweeted on Friday that his NFL career can now ‘legally buy a beer’.

Brady was known as the 199th choice of the NFL draft in 2000 by the New England Patriots.

The Patriots receive four compensation concepts in 2000 because he lost four players last year – Todd Collins, Tom Tupa, Mark Wheeler, Dave Wohlabaugh. One was the choice they used on Brady.

It turns out to be the biggest value pick in NFL history. Brady has won six of his seven Super Bowl titles and all three of his MVP awards during his 20-season series with the Patriots.

Brady left New England to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2020. He led them to their second Super Bowl title in franchise history and won his fifth Super Bowl MVP award after winning 201 yards and three touched points in a 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
