Tom Brady has just won his seventh Super Bowl and his fifth Super Bowl MVP, and has since signed a contract extension through the 2022 season.
While the Buccaneers bring back all 22 of their attacking and defensive starters, they keep the championship window clear for as long as possible.
Brady turns 44 in June and has repeatedly said he would like to play until he is at least 45. But even after seven rings, he does not show many signs of slowing down. During an interview on Good morning America, Brady said he was not necessarily trying to prove anything anymore.
‘I still want to play, ”Brady told Michael Strahan. ‘Like, I have a little disease in me that wants to throw another freaking spiral, you know what I mean? Also about football, once you stop, you can not go into it again.
‘I still have a little football in me. Not much, and I know it. But what I have left, I will give everything I have received. ‘
After what happened in 2020, there is no reason to believe that Brady will not be able to drive the Buccaneers to another championship season in 2021.
