Titans trade Isaiah Wilson with Dolphins, late-pick exchange

The Tennessee Titans reportedly found a player for the first round and offensive offense, Isaiah Wilson, in 2020.

According to several reports, the Titans send Wilson and a seventh round in 2022 to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for Miami’s seventh round in 2021.

And so ends Wilson’s tumultuous tenure in Nashville, which lasts just one season. Now the Georgia product will want to get a fresh start in Miami after experiencing a number of issues during its rookie season.

Given the circumstances, this trade is somewhat of a win for the Titans, although they basically got nothing in return for it, as their relationship with Wilson seems too far away at this point.

Tennessee will now be able to wipe out the basic salary to Wilson from the books for the next three years, but will have about $ 4.5 million in dead money in 2020 thanks to its guaranteed bonus money, which is not ideal for a cash-strapping team like the Titans . However, that is less than they would have paid if Wilson had been cut.

Titans general manager Jon Robinson certainly does not get brownie points, and the team has now officially wasted a first-round pick and millions of dollars.

With the extra pick, the Titans have now locked in eight, with a ninth pick expected to come via a compensating pick.
