Tim Cook says he can not wait to return to office

The pandemic has affected the way we all work and interact with family and friends, and Apple CEO Tim Cook is no exception. In a new interview with People, Cook talks about working from home, and he also shared his hopes for the future and some information about his routine in a video.

Cook spoke with People on the importance of personal interaction:

My gut says that it is still very important for us to be in physical contact with each other, because cooperation is not always a planned activity. Innovation is not always a planned activity. It touches each other throughout the day and promotes an idea you just had. And you really have to be together to do it.

Although Apple’s CEO wants to return to office as soon as possible, he reflects on all the things the company has accomplished last year. It also launched a $ 100 million racial justice initiative and promised to be carbon neutral by 2030.

You look back, and the shutdown took place in mid-March. Instead we had this enormously productive period, [introducing] the first 5G iPhone. We introduced the M1 chip on the Mac. These are important achievements. We did it all while rediscovering the way we worked.

In a “quick question with Tim Cook” video, Apple’s CEO talks a bit about his daily routine. Cook, for example, says that he wakes up at 4am, the first app he opens is Apple News and that he cannot live without coffee and his iPhone.

His favorite emoji? The peace emoji ✌️.

Now we need to see if other employees are ready to go to work at Apple Park again, and when Apple will announce a hybrid model in the coming months. I bet the Underdogs are ready to go back.
