According to pilot Irving, a guard commander at the Wilmington police station, a house party was held at the scene around midnight on Saturday.
Respondents found seven victims at the scene, three of whom died, police said. Investigators are still working at the crime scene near 7th Street and Kidder Street and trying to identify suspects.
There is currently no one in custody and no motive, Irving said, adding that the general public is not in danger.
The circumstances of the injured victims are currently unknown. The names of those killed will be released as soon as their families and relatives are notified, police said.
