Motorola has not been in the smartwatch game since 2016, but at the end of 2019, a manufacturer called eBuyNow released a Wear OS watch that licenses the old Moto 360 product name. The end result was a decent (if too expensive) watch, and now eBuyNow plans to release three more this year.

eBuyNow is merging with CE Brands, Inc., and in an investor offering earlier this month, CE showed what it plans to release in the course of 2021. , a timeline page revealed that a ‘Moto G Smartwatch’ is expected to arrive in June 2021, with two more named ‘Moto Watch & One’ in July.

Unfortunately, no other details about the watches were mentioned in the presentation. Moto G is one of Motorola’s budget phone sets, and the image of the Moto G watch does not appear to have the rotary knob of the 2019 Moto 360, so it may be a budget watch with reduced features. The Moto Watch is a square model reminiscent of the Apple Watch and Oppo Watch.

It remains to be seen how big the demand for more Wear OS watches from Motorola will be, especially since Google is still neglecting the core platform. However, I would not be opposed to more square smartwatches.
