The upcoming suspension comes “due to irregularities in the storage and handling of vaccines”, observed by El Paso Province staff during an inspection, according to the press release.

Health officials “are determining whether those previously vaccinated at this site should start their vaccination series,” the press release read, adding that officials do not currently believe that those who receive their vaccine there have cause for concern.

More than 1,000 appointments were canceled for the site on Saturday, in addition to 6,000 appointments scheduled for May 8, according to the release.

Those with the appointments scheduled in the clinic will be contacted by the state and scheduled to another vaccination clinic in the province, the exemption added.

According to its website, the clinic offers a number of “aesthetic medical spa” services such as laser hair removal, acne treatment, facial treatment, tattoo removal and Botox injections.

The Gazette tried to reach the clinic for comment late Friday, but calls remained unanswered, and the clinic apparently did not have a voicemail service.
