The Duchess of Sussex’s father, Thomas Markle, must make a documentary about his life, he revealed yesterday.
Markle, 76, said the film would contain previously unseen home videos and photos of Meghan.
Meghan, 39, had not seen her father before her wedding to Prince Harry.
Markle, a retired director of Hollywood lighting, told The Sun on Sunday of the documentary: ‘It starts with my life, my family, my love of theater and television and how I got there.
‘When my life with Meghan, growing up, her school days until she went to university, and when her career began.

Mr. Markle, who lives in Mexico, said he hopes the film can be ready by the end of the year. In a Channel 5 documentary last year, Mr. Markle outlined his relationship with his daughter.
Meghan lived with her father for between 11 and 18 years and Markle claims he paid her school fees and college fees. But he said their relationship deteriorated after he was unable to attend her wedding in 2018 after undergoing emergency surgery.
Mr. Markle said he had never met his grandson Archie, and that his daughter was only pregnant when he heard it on the radio.

He accused the couple of saying ‘messy things’ about him and said he believed his relationship with Meghan was irreparably damaged.
In the film, Thomas Markle: My Story, he said he was ashamed and disappointed about Meghan and Harry’s decision to resign from their duties as senior royals.
He said they had an ‘obligation’ to represent the royal family, saying that their new freedom to enter into commercial transactions to make money jeopardized the royals’ reputation.
Harry, 36, and Meghan have signed contracts to produce Netflix shows and podcasts for Spotify as part of their new life in Los Angeles.
The deals were signed as part of their new life with son Archie in Los Angeles, following their decision to retire from the royal service last year.
