According to a report, a pharmacist in Wisconsin was arrested after a hospital worker deliberately spoiled hundreds of doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
Although authorities did not name the suspect, it appears from a licensed pharmacist, Steven Brandenburg, 46, who was arrested at Ozaukee County Jail on Thursday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
Bradenburg has reportedly been arrested on preliminary charges of criminal property damage and the reckless danger to safety, but it is not clear if his charges relate to the sabotaged vaccines at Aurora Medical Center.
Police, however, earlier Thursday announced similar charges against an unnamed pharmacist and confirmed his arrest in the case, but did not disclose the man’s identity “pending formal notice of charges.”
The hospital said it fired the unnamed worker on Wednesday after he allegedly admitted to deliberately removing 57 vials of the Moderna vaccine from a refrigerator in the hospital, rendering it useless.
