This Legend of Zelda LEGO Ideas Pitch is a must-see for Nintendo fans

Over the past few years, the LEGO Ideas program has given fans the tools to create and design amazing concepts with the brick format. Although a number of reports were released as a result, Zelda fans were unsuccessful in their attempts to build a set based on Nintendo’s Zelda franchise. However, that did not stop user Artem Biziaev from sharing an amazing Hyrule Castle set! Based specifically on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the castle would consist of 2600 pieces, and contained Minifigs of Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, a Stalfos, a member of the Royal Guard and Anju.

An image of the castle can be found below, and more images can be found on the LEGO Ideas page here.

What is interesting about this set is how much effort was put into really channeling the heart of Ocarina of Time. From the Temple of Time, to the inclusion of four heart pieces, there is an incredible attention to detail. If this set were to get the green light from LEGO and Nintendo, it is safe to say that it will become a must for Zelda fans!

While previous Zelda sets have been pitched by LEGO Ideas before, it’s worth noting that the chances are a bit greater this time around. After all, in 2020 a series of Super Mario sets from the company was released, as well as a LEGO version of the Nintendo Entertainment System. Although the figures in the LEGO Mario series do not follow the classic Minifig format, it is quite possible that a Zelda series would follow something more traditional.

For those unfamiliar with the LEGO Ideas program, fans can sign a petition to show LEGO that there is an interest in purchasing the shared concept. As concepts reach larger milestones, users have more time to attract signatures. At the time of writing, the idea of the Hyrule Castle project has 602 days left, and 1,390 supporters. It will take a lot more than attracting LEGO’s attention, so Zelda fans who want to see the set come to fruition will want to show some love for the project!
