This is why Bill Gates prefers Android over iOS – BGR

  • The Clubhouse app recently hosted another person in the tech industry for an interview – this time, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.
  • In a discussion hosted by journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin, Gates talked about everything from the coronavirus pandemic to COVID vaccines and the rumored Apple Car.
  • Gates also explained why he prefers his Android phone over an iPhone.

As soon as Bill Gates enters Clubhouse for the first time this week, journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin temporarily ignored some of the questions he intended to ignore about everything from the coronavirus pandemic to climate change and Gates’ new book How to avoid a climate disaster. Sorkin pointed out to Microsoft co-founder that he’s getting a shower of tweets asking everyone the same, sent from people as soon as they hear of Gates’ chat in Clubhouse, the hot new social app for iOS:

Wait, Bill Gates has an iPhone?

Gates admitted that he actually uses an Android phone on a daily basis. And that while talking to the latest iPhones, just to keep up with it, “the phone I carry is Android.” Sorkin further investigated it and wanted to know if it was a product of a kind of ‘religious’ preference that Gates has between Android versus iOS.

‘Well, some of the Android manufacturers install Microsoft software in a way that makes it easy for me, and they’re smoother about how the software connects with the operating system, and that’s what I’ll finally get used to … A lot some of my friends have iPhones, so there is no purity. ”

And so began Gates’ clubhouse chat, making him one of the industry’s leading tech technicians and wealthy titans to stream to the new sound-based social app that everyone talks about – and talks about on, for that matter. You can view Gates’s full chat below:

Highlights of the interview: Microsoft’s billionaire – whose personal foundation was at the forefront of vaccine development and the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, in collaboration with government agencies – said he was taking his second dose of COVID-19 vaccine got over a week ago. “It’s the only time I’m grateful I’m an old man – 65 years old.”

In response, Sorkin followed up with: When are you going to start moving around and traveling again like you used to, now that you have had both doses of coronavirus vaccine?

“Well, I want to set a good example. If you have been vaccinated, you can still send. It’s not so likely … I’m not going to stop wearing masks or be careful of people who have not yet been vaccinated … It is only by late spring or summer that we will reach the numbers where you can see how your behavior can change in a significant way. ”

In addition:

  • By the fall, Gates said he expected “all schools to be open.”
  • What does he think of the Apple Car that has long been rumored? “Mmmm, I double that they will make the same margin as they do on the iPhone.”
  • Does he use Google Search? “I’m a loyal, loyal, loyal Bing user. You travel with a very snobbish crowd. You have to come here with the masses and use Bing. ‘
  • The last TV show he called? Netflix’s Lupine, about a gentleman burglar from France who became a big hit for the streamer.
