Margarita Hernandez, who tested positive for the coronavirus, is waiting in a tent to visit a doctor for her allergic reaction to medicine at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in the Mission Hills ward of Los Angeles, Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Some doctors have told The Wall Street Journal that some cases have revealed that people’s senses may never return.

Neurological expert Leo Newhouse, LICSW, wrote on Harvard Health’s website: “Some of us may never get our sense of smell or taste again.”

  • He tweeted: ‘Just to give you an update, odor loss and taste is definitely one of the symptoms, and could not smell anything for the past 4 days. Has anyone experienced the same thing? ”
