They are determined to get the ball rolling more than ever before

Hello insiders! In one of your answers you mentioned last week, you consider Russell Wilson a potential Hall of Famer. Are you sure he is really COURT caliber? As he has been mentioned several times this season, he does not even have an MVP vote, let alone an actual MVP, his only SB victory is due to the Legion of Boom and he was at most above average in his playoff game . Over the past four years, even the Jaguars have scored more playoff games than Russ. What makes you think he should be in COURT?

I’m not saying he’s a bad COURT, but I think he deserves it and will come in. He has carried that team to the playoffs for the past few years with ever-changing (and sometimes inferior) staff around him. The results lately are not great, but he is still 9-7 in the post-season for his career. I do not like the MVP voting argument. Voters may only vote for one person each year. This is not a voting right as in MLB. If this is the default, it will disqualify a number of QBs already in Canton.

Bakhtiari has been an All-Pro five times already. If he retires after this season, is he in the Hall of Fame? If not, what else should he do?

The COURT selection committee is looking more closely at first-team selection, and Bakhtiari now has two in eight years. Tony Boselli had three out of seven and is again a COURT finalist. If Bakhtiari returns to his All-Pro level after the injury, it could lock him up.

I know all our thoughts on adding another playoff team. I know it was not necessary. But after watching ‘Super Wildcard Weekend’, I’m addicted. Three games is better than two. Six games is better than four!

I never said I would not enjoy watching the games. It was an entertaining, relaxing way to spend the weekend. I’m glad that seventh place prevented an 11-win team from gaining access to the AFC, but it also made it possible for an eight-win team in the NFC that clearly doesn’t belong. There will be pros and cons every year.

How wild was it for the Packers to have three defensive tackles in four games during their Super Bowl run in 2010? I do not remember the last few years so many defensive goals in the playoffs, and I thought three in four games for one post-season should be somewhat rare.

This is not the norm. To my recollection, the Packers have only had one since then, Shields in San Francisco in the ’12 division to open the game. The Rams and Browns certainly made theirs this weekend. Both were setting the tone.

Why are the Sunday division matches scheduled two hours later than usual (2:05 and 5:40 Central)? The conference championships are always scheduled for those times if any match takes place on the West Coast, but this year there could be at most one division match in the west. Is it rather a decision to make the later match run fine?

Ding ding ding. I sure thought when the Bears lost that the Packers-Rams would get the Saturday night lock, but work wise I do not complain about an earlier kick-off.

I’m not sure how it’s different, but I look at a match differently when I rejoice that a team loses instead of one to win. You know what I mean?

I do not know why, but it made me laugh.

You guys are doing a wonderful job keeping things fresh. So, my question: it’s clear that you can not choose who you play, but if you go 13-3, it’s more important that the Packers only beat two teams with a winning record (NO, TN) OR that they just lost to only one team with a losing record (MN)?

Most importantly, they played the regular season with both sides of their ball.

A 13-3 record does not matter. Individual awards do not matter. Season totals in rankings, sack totals and running yards do not matter. All that matters? Go 3-0 over the next three games.

You don’t listen to LaFleur much, do you? All that matters is leading 1-0 on Saturday. Happy Monday.
