In January 2021, Sony announced the following series of free games coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers: Maneater, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and GreedFall.
While the latter two are optimized for PS4, the first is the PS5 version, hence the ‘PlayStation Plus’ advantage [is] is apparently not applicable to Maneater on PS4.
“PlayStation Plus kicks off in 2021. PlayStation Plus members will receive two PS4 titles on Tuesday, January 5 – action adventure Shadow of the Tomb Raider and action RPG Greedfall,” Adam Michel of SIE wrote on the official PS Blog .
“On the same day, PS5 owners with a PlayStation Plus membership can play a terrifying top-notch predator in the open world (sea?) RPG Maneater.”

If you recently bought the PS5 version of Maneater – and recently bought, we’ve been talking for the past few weeks – it looks like Sony is issuing automatic refunds.
“Bought Maneater last month. Turned PS5 on to note that they were refunding me,” u / BraeWhyit said on Reddit. Sony’s statement reads: “As a PlayStation Plus subscriber, we will refund the purchase price of this product to your PlayStation Store wallet, as it is a PlayStation Plus monthly game. It does not affect your ability to play the game as we did not remove the game from your library “.
There seems to be no such similar deal for everyone who recently bought Shadow of the Tomb Raider or GreedFall.
The games are available for download from Tuesday, January 4th, and then the current popularity for free – Just Cause 4, Worms Rumble, Rocket Arena and Bugsnax – will be removed from the promotion.
