There’s a Metroid Prime demo going on, and it has a demo

Nintendo, do something with this series except to postpone it

Metroid Prime is a classic. I do not think it can be discussed. It’s just like that.

Nintendo thinks so! Therefore, they later re-released it in trilogy form on the Wii after the GameCube debut in 2002. But since the Wii release in 2009, the series has remained dormant. I mean, there’s supposed to be another one in the works! But it could be years away at this point. Enter the fandom.

There is still a large collective rally around the country Metroid franchise in general, as well as the First series. One of the groups managed to make a demake Metroid Prime, which is now available in demo form. The demo involves the Tallon Overworld, Artifact Temple and the Chozo ruins, but the team “needs to spend more time” working on it.

The demo itself is the result of five years of work by ‘Team SCU’. Presumably to avoid legal issues, the team calls this project ‘Prime 2D’, though I’m not sure it would be sufficient if Nintendo really wanted to nail it.

Since I’ll inevitably get the “thank you Destructoid”, you personally sent an email to Nintendo to shut it down! messages, I will note here that the project creators post a public message for the demo, and “Let’s Plays” is already on YouTube (like the one below), one of the world’s largest video platforms, for public viewing. The ‘secret’ is out!
