If you have the will and lots of extra garage space in readiness for a big invasion of New Old Stock auto parts, this is a steal. All Classic Motors, located in small Velva, North Dakota, have apparently bought over parts and now have an abundance to sell.
In the photos, I see Ford’s original parts with Autolite and Motorcraft. According to the list, All Classic Motors wants to sell 20,000+ line items (40,000+ actual items) consisting of 1963 – 1978 NOS and original Ford parts, mostly 1964 – 1973 Mustang, Shelby, Mach 1 & Boss. If you are starting a restoration on a Galaxy, Torino, Pantera, Cobra Jet, Tiger, Fairlane, Cyclone, Cougar, Maverick or Falcon (or all of the above), this is a wonderland. Engine parts for Ford 289, 390, 427, 428 and 429 are also in the mix.
All Classic Motors has been selling vintage Mustang and Ford parts from the 1960s and 1970s to customers around the world for over 30 years, selling complete assemblies. JD Larson, the owner of All Classic Motors, has a classic Mustang experience of four decades and is a recognized judge at the Mustang Club of America.
Larson fell in love with Mustangs at the age of 13 when a neighbor took him for a spin in the 1970 Mach 1. By the age of 16, he was saving $ 650 to buy his own Mustang. He tracked down a 1967 Mustang Coupe and was ready to put his money down, but his mother put the kibosh on the idea. I’m sure his mother caught the wrath of his disappointment until his 16th birthday when she arrived in the driveway with the same Mustang in 1967.
His loyalty to Ford is evident in his meticulous organization: the parts he sells are all cataloged and stored by Ford part number and stored in a temperature and humidity controlled warehouse. The whole lot is only available for local upload; you can hop on a plane and fly to Minot International Airport and drive 30 minutes southwest to Velva, or start in the capital Bismarck, pick up some donuts and drive straight north to Velva to look at the collection.
Bring your check book with you, because you first leave with the spare parts before it is paid in full. This is an excellent opportunity if you are starting a new business specializing in spare parts; and 2021 seems like a good time to try something new.
