The Worst Pizza Pizza Options

This is a great debate about which pizza pie style is best. (And no, we’re not talking about the whole pineapple as a topping issue!) It all comes down to the classic thin crust or deep dish conversation. We know – there are very strong opinions out there. There really is no right or wrong type of pizza, but there are some deep-fried pizza pies that are worthy of the eyebrow.

If you are a deep dish lover, we are here to help you make the best choice in the pie, whether you are ordering from a restaurant or buying a frozen option at the grocery store that you want to warm up in your oven. There are pizza pies with deep dishes that are a bit, well, tricky, which is why we’ve rounded up the options you can better overdo. Rather continue with one of the 7 healthiest foods you can eat right now.

If you’re going to eat at Uno Pizzeria & Grill, you know you want a classic Chicago-style pizza. But the one pie that succeeds is the Chicago Meat Market.

One slice consists of low sausage, meatballs, pepperoni, fresh shredded mozzarella, chunky tomato sauce and pecorino romano. It really shouldn’t be so much of a shock that a large portion of this deep-fried pizza ingests more than 600 calories and contains as much sodium as you would get from 131 Lay’s Classic Potato Chips. You better make your own pizza with deep dishes, which you can do when eating at Uno!

The American Heart Association recommends that the average adult consume no more than 2,300 milligrams per day, and move to an ideal limit of no more than 1,500 milligrams per day. If you can only eat half of one of these and combine it with a salad, you’re much better off!

Thanks to Little Caesars

Per large pizza: 3,480 calories, 175 g fat (70 g saturated fat, 3.5 g trans fat), 7,180 mg sodium, 321 g carbohydrates (16 g fiber, 17 g sugar), 159 g protein

At Little Caesars, deep-fried pizza is a must. The depth! Deep! Surfaces will probably catch your attention, but the option for 3 meats is not the healthiest choice. These pies are topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage and bacon. As you can imagine, it is high in everything! A large pie contains over 3000 calories, 175 grams of fat and 3.5 grams of heart-damaging trans fats. Granted, it’s likely that you will not eat it alone in one sitting, but any pizza with so much meat is nothing but trouble.
