The winner of the beauty pageant in Sri Lanka gets head wounds in the crown melee

It was not exactly the crown she was looking for.

A beauty queen contestant won the title of Mrs. Conquered Sri Lanka – only to end up in hospital with head injuries after Mrs.

The ugly rally on stage erupted moments after winning contestant Pushpika De Silva was crowned in a Colombo theater on Sunday night, according to Time 24 News magazine.

Mrs World Caroline Jurie, who hails from Sri Lanka and was at the event, suddenly jumped on stage and grabbed the microphone, claiming De Silva was actually divorced and therefore incompetent to hold the title.

‘There is a rule that prevents women who are already married and divorced. That’s why I’m taking steps to take the crown to second place, ‘Jurie told the astonished crowd.

Jury then ripped the golden crown off De Silva’s head and put it on the runner-up, causing tears and chaos, sellers said.

De Silva had to be admitted to hospital due to head injuries of her crown that was torn off, plus trauma, Time24 said, referring to a local newspaper.

The participant later posted a photo of her in a hospital bed on her Facebook page – while denying that she was divorced.

“The pain of my skull when my crown was ripped out of my head by my world married the beauty queen, the pain I felt when I lost the crown,” De Silva wrote.

‘I say a true queen is not a woman who pulls the crown of another woman, but a woman [helps straighten] another woman’s crown !!

‘I know you expect my reaction to the unexpected incident that happened. ‘Even though I have a lot to say, I’ll just put the essentials here,’ ‘De Silva said.

She admitted that she and her husband lived separately, but insisted: “I am not a divorced woman.”
