The Vybe Together app, which despite Covid is meant to promote parties, has been removed

Despite the pandemic, an app that encouraged users to ‘put on your rebel, keep your party on’ has apparently been removed from most corners of the internet.

Vybe Together, who described himself as a way to ‘find your Vybe’ at ‘talk sessions, jam sessions or beer pong’, apparently promoted secret, inviting parties, according to an archival version of a website now removed. The Verge questions page said the platform is meant to promote smaller gatherings rather than large parties, reports The Verge.

According to Business Insider, the app’s domain was registered this year, but it received more criticism on Tuesday after Taylor Lorenz, technology reporter for the New York Times, reported. tweeted about it.

Lorenz’s tweet shared screenshots of the app, and in subsequent tweets, she shared a TikTok from Vybe Together’s TikTok account, which shows how the app promotes a New Year’s Eve party.

“We’re a secret party app that meets every weekend,” reads the text written on the video about the New Year’s Eve party. In the video, it was said that the party would be an invitation only and would take place in New York City.

In New York, the collection inside and out is limited to no more than ten people, according to the state’s website.

Vybe Together’s account has since been removed from TikTok, a TikTok spokesman told NBC News by email. The spokesman said the account had been removed for violating community guidelines and said it was not advertised on the platform.

The app was also removed from the Apple App Store. The app was not made available on Google Play, the version of the Google App Store.

NBC News has released Alexander Dimcevski, who is believed to be a co-founder of the app, for comment.

Dimcevski told Business Insider that the app has yet to hold any major parties and that the TikTok marketing is top notch.

“We are not condensing large unsafe parties during a pandemic,” Dimcevski told Business Insider.

As of Wednesday afternoon, it appears that Dimcevski has either deleted or deactivated his LinkedIn account.

Currently, it seems that Vybe Together still exists on Instagram, where the account has about 840 followers and has two posts on it.

“App Store has brought us down !!! We will be back !! Follow to stay up to date,” reads Vybe Together’s Instagram account description.

In a text message from Tuesday with the bill, it says: “Local wine evenings, beer pong games and dancing in an apartment near you,” with the caption: “We are coming back !!!”

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention recommends that the “safest way to celebrate the new year is to celebrate at home with the people who live with you or virtually with friends and family.”
