The vaccination appointment line is open this week

The appointment of the COVID-19 vaccine in Coweta province reopens on Wednesday.

The line remains open for appointments until all appointments have been filled. The vaccination appointment line was also opened last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but appointments are being filled quickly.

The vaccine line is for those in Phase 1a + to make appointments for their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. When the appointment is made, an appointment will also be made for the second dose.

The current phase includes 65 people and older and their caregivers, all health workers and all first responders. Those to be vaccinated must provide proof of age when they are 65 years of age or older, or proof of employment for health care workers and first responders.

Call 762-888-8180 to schedule an appointment. The call center’s hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The call center will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, unless appointments are filled ahead of time.

Appointments are not made via social media, by email or calls to local health departments or health department staff, according to the Coweta County Department of Health’s Facebook page.

Anyone who needs to cancel an appointment for their first dose is asked to do so at least 48 hours in advance so that someone else can be scheduled for that time. To cancel, visit www.district4health.org/about-us/contact and fill out the “contact us” form to cancel your appointment.

Those who are waiting for their second dose and do not know when their appointment is can find out by going to disrict4health.org/covid-19-vaccine and scrolling down to ‘Do you already have your first dose of the vaccine with Had District 4? ”.

Once you know the date you need to get the second dose, you do not need to call. Simply arrive at the same time of day as your first appointment.

Those receiving their second dose should also bring their vaccination card issued when they received the first dose.

The state is also hosting a hotline for questions about the vaccine. This hotline is for information only – not for appointments. The information line is 888-357-0169.
