In 2020, we were greeted by the 5nm 8-core M1 chip, which just means that Apple is expected to increase the core score for the new year. We’ve heard about a 12-core Apple Silicon Mac several times in the last few months, but unfortunately such a product never materialized. Fortunately, one tipster strongly believes that if you want to experience a new power station Mac, you do not have to wait as long as expected in March.
New Apple Silicon Mac may include a redesigned chassis coupled to a 14.1-inch screen, according to previous reports
LeaksApplePro has teased the possible release of a brand new Apple Silicon Mac, but other than letting us know the core score of the chip expected in this machine, no other details are provided. According to a report by Ming-Chi Kuo, the 14.1-inch and 16-inch redesigned MacBook Pro models will arrive in Q2 2021, for example, and both will be treated with Apple’s personal silicone.
The new 14.1-inch MacBook Pro can hold the 12-core Apple Silicon, while the 16-inch MacBook Pro features a 16-core component. Since the 16-inch MacBook Pro would have more room for a more expensive cooling solution, it makes sense to incorporate a more powerful silicone as part of its interior. Unfortunately, the tipster did not provide details on what the new slide will be called. However, a previous report mentioned that a new M2 silicon will arrive in 2021, but it will be for Apple’s redesigned iMac range.
Next Mac 12 Core

Another report claims that a 5nm A14T disk for the desktop is being developed for the new iMac. Since there are conflicting reports here, we go with the guts and say that the next Apple Silicon Mac with the M2 will be the 14.1-inch model. However, we recommend that you consider this information as speculation at this stage. The 12-core chip is likely to be split into eight performance cores, with four focusing on power efficiency.
When we look at the performance of the M1, we are excited to see what this new Apple Silicon Mac brings to the table with 12 cores. At the same time, we believe that the inclusion of additional performance cores could adversely affect battery life. Then we’ll have to see for ourselves what solution Apple contains, so always keep an eye out for more updates.
