United Nations will send an expert to analyze the impact on human rights of the unilaterally imposed sanctions on Venezuela, this year was announced by the High Commissioner of the UN Commission on Human Rights (ACNUDH).
The special speaker on unilateral and human rights coercive media, Belarus’ Alena Douhan, will travel to Latin American countries from February 1 to 12, ACNUDH stated in a statement.
Douhan explained in the text that his objective is examiner “if the adoption, the maintenance or the application of sanctions obsticulate the full realization of the human rights of the persons and in what means”.
The envoy had to meet with officials of the regime of Nicolás Maduro, the parliament and the judiciary, as well as representatives of international, diplomatic and oppositional organizations.
The official is expected to present his initial conclusions at a press conference on 12 February at 14:00 local time (18:00 GMT) at a Venezuelan capital hotel. The final announcement will be presented in September 2021.
The parliament controlled by the first cavismo last week in the United Nations to “adopt all the media in its presence” to end the sanctions and the release of blocked resources to buy vacancies against the covid-19.
