The ultimate Lego Star Wars game has been delayed indefinitely again, and it’s OK

If you have eagerly waited Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga To fulfill the incredible promise of his moving trailer of last August (see above), I have some bittersweet news: the game has been delayed again. Developer TT Games tweeted Friday that “we can not make our intended spring release date”, which itself was a delay from the game’s original launch window in 2020.

Bittersweet, because the delay comes with the promise that it will be the biggest and best LEGO game ever from the company, and that’s exactly what that trailer looked like last fall.

It’s been sixteen years since the first Lego Star Wars, and I can definitely wait a little longer if there is a chance to reach the goal. We’ve seen way too many games being pushed out before they were ready, and I can think of at least one notable reason that any developer might need a little more time.

However, it may mean one game less for new PS5 and Xbox Series X / S buyers to take advantage of their new consoles in the short term. (It also comes to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.)

There is no new release date for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga train.
