The Sunday Read: ‘The Many Lives of Steven Yeun’


Jay Caspian Kang, the author and narrator of this week’s Sunday Read, spoke to actor Steven Yeun about Zoom late last year. The premise of their conversations was mr. Yeun’s latest starring role in ‘Minari’ – a film about a Korean immigrant family who farms in rural South Africa.

They discussed the usual things: Yeun’s childhood, his parents and active career – which includes a seven-year period of the hugely popular television series “The Walking Dead”. But the subject of the conversation constantly turned back to something deeper.
