Lovecraftian RPG game The Sinking City is available again on Steam, but developer Frogwares is asking players not to buy it.
In a brief statement on the studio’s social media channels, Frogwares said that while the store window mentions it as the developer of the game, “Frogwares did not create the version of The Sinking City that is on sale on Steam today” .
“We do not recommend purchasing this version. More news coming soon,” the statement concluded.

The statement comes after the game was removed from Steam after a legal battle between developer Frogwares and publisher Nacon and BigBen.
Frogwares further pushed to also comment on ‘the version sold at Fanatical’, while being asked directly if ‘are they bad too?’ answer on Twitter with a simple: “Yes”.
The game – which just returned to Steam yesterday – has garnered a number of negative reviews, with some claiming it’s an old version of the game ‘.

ICYMI, The Sinking City PS5 version is now available.
