The Chicago Bears are making a serious effort to acquire the Seattle Seahawks’ Russell Quarterback shortly after his agent named the Bears as one of the four teams he would be willing to play for, reports say.
Sources told the Chicago Tribune on Friday that the Bears “preferred a turnaround” at Wilson after his agent, Mark Rodgers, said earlier this week that although he did not claim a trade, he would be willing to trade to the Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints.

Rodgers’ remarks were followed by an ESPN report that the Seahawks answered calls from interested teams and also made some of their own calls.
“It’s a real thing where Russell Wilson is not happy there,” ESPN’s Dianna Russini said. “His agent will deny that they are demanding a trade … (but) I know that calls have been made on both sides, to Seattle and from Seattle to other teams.”
The Bears will have to seriously address their quarterback situation with Mitch Trubisky who will become a free agent later this month and believes Nick Foles is not Chicago’s starter.

The competition looks good for the Bears with the Cowboys likely to sign another franchise label or long-term deal with Dak Prescott, and Raiders general manager Mike Mayock recently threw his support behind Derek Carr.
The only real possibility would be the Saints with rumors still suggesting that Drew Brees played his last season.

According to the Tribune, the Bears have other options on the table, including pursuers like Ryan Fitzpatrick or Jameis Winston or even a quarterback.
